Recent Eats and Travels


Is it just me or is it super hard to stick to a regular schedule over the summer? Even though I'm working full time these days, I still feel all over the place. I try my best to be consistent with this blog but it gets hard to stay on top of things, especially in this season. I've been trying to show myself a little grace when I don't get multiple posts/week up on the same day at the same time. It's a work in progress. But I thought I'd stop in today and share some of what I've been up to lately! Here's a peek into what's been going on over the past few weeks.

A few weekends ago I took a mini trip to Annapolis, Maryland for a training. I wasn't there long but I loved it! The area is so historic and quaint. Plus, I got amazing crab cakes from a little hole in the wall restaurant near the water. 

This past weekend my parents were in town for a visit. We packed in lots of fun activities and delicious food while they were here. On Sunday we headed out to Crozet to check out some of the vineyards and enjoy the weather and try some wine.

We had lots of wine, cheese and crackers over the course of the weekend. Highly recommend Cabot's Classic Vermont White Cheddar cheese. SOO good. 

Last but not least we hopped over to Lampo for some classic Neapolitan pizza. We had the Margherita, Prosciutto and Funghi. They were all flavorful but we all agreed that the mushroom pizza was the best!
